| Not over-produced, this CD is one of the best I've heard when it comes to beautiful acoustic sound. And the music and lyrics will help you believe there's still a REAL world still out there. The Mickeys have that rare ability to create clear, simple, harmony vocals that make you smile and wish you could do it, too! And this is one CD you won't want to hear come to an end. | ||||||||||

It's really THAT enjoyable! I found myself, for purposes of this article, trying to come up with a good description of this new duo who they sounded like, or what "kind" of music it is, exactly. Sorry, no could do. They're UNIQUE! But I have to admit, the very first thing that came to mind when I heard the first cut, "All I Ever Wanted Was You" (Amy/Julie Mickey/Tom Rogers), was that 60's (I think) trio, Peter, Paul and Mary. But as I continued to listen, I subtracted Peter and Paul, then Mary, then added Amy and Julie, for that ooooh so nice music that ONLY they can make. So, I guess, they really sound like NO-ONE I can think of. Their style is not something you can pinpoint, either. But, at least we have a bio to go on, and it tells me they sing with "touches of Celtic, Country, Bluegrass, and Americana". That pretty much covers it. Uhhh, no, I think I might add Folk to the mix. The Mickeys, Amy and Julie, are IDENTICAL twin sisters who've made Nashville their home for a few years now, and are planning big things for their career!! My opinion? Well, if they have the right representation ('cause, lets face it, having talent, these days, isn't enough), they'll go right to the top! These girls are talented beyond imagination! Not only can they sing, they can write! And not only can they write, they can produce! And not only can they produce, they can hold an audience (of one, anyway, ME)!! All these things are important, and with that kind of talent it shouldn't be too hard to get to where they want to go. And I think they're on the right track, using Martha Moore at "So Much Moore Media & Marketing" (excellent choice, girls), and having their own label, "RiverBeat Music". |

| "Finding Our Way, is the Mickey's debut album. It's filled with great songs, that'll give you sense of peace and yet, keep you swaying in your seat (assuming your seated, of course). I would love to hear this duo on radio, DAILY, and my guess is, you would, too. The sound is real, no " bells and whistles". Julie says "Our music is about simplicity". You HEAR the instruments AND the voices. (and what fabulous voices, too) Ya know, since this IS only my opinion, I'm gonna stick my neck out (would this be a FIRST time??) and say this .If these gals (although their style is less flashy) wanted to give those Dixie Chicks a run for their money, I bet they could DO it! I haven't seen | ||||||||||

them perform, but they sound like they mean business! And that, folks, is the right way to make it to the top of the heap .that, and an ability to use their MUSIC to make their point. This one of the most talented and unique duos to come along in quite awhile, folks. I really hope you'll try to find them, listen to their music, and start calling your radio stations! Check out their website at http://www.themickeys.net . Yep, this was one of my most enjoyable assignments, to date. And I'm glad they decided to send li'l ol' me, their new CD (which will see a release date of July 1 by Select-O-Hits) for my opinion and, of course, it's only
