Various Artists, Universal Sound Records

ARTIST:
Paul Alan Coons
ALBUM:
Everything She Touches Turns To Love
PRODUCERS:
Paul Alan Coons/T. Jae Christian
LABEL: Universal Sound Records
I've heard Paul Alan Coons sing before, and liked what I heard then. But this one is outstanding. It's purely traditional country music…the kind you want when you need to hear the 'real thing'. The first cut, and title song, "Everything She Loves…." (P.A.Coons), is one of my favorites! It's got the right lyrics, the right melody, and the right sound, all around. There are ballads that'll grab your heart, like "The Phone Call" (PA Coons) and "When" (PA Coons). And if you want to tap your feet, listen to "I'm It" (Lonnie Williams/John Farmer) or "Eagle" (H. Cochran/M. Vickery)…you might even decide to tap those feet out onto the dance-floor with your favorite partner! Paul is a great writer, too, his lyrics sound very personal and almost as if they were written just for you. And when he decides to sing something that someone else has written, he knows how to choose some of the best songs, and sing them the way the writer intended! With songwriters like Hank Williams, Jr. and Hank Cochran, how could you go wrong? Yep, I loved this CD, and I think you will too. If you like country, you won't be able to turn this one down. It has everything you'll want to hear. And more!

ARTIST: Kim Novas
ALBUM: Blue Skies over Georgia
PRODUCER: T.J. Christian
LABEL: Universal Sound Records
Now here's an album that'll make you very glad you bought it. It's got music that'll make you want to dance, music that'll have you grabbin' for the Kleenex box, music that really gives the musicians in the band, a chance to be heard, and music that just plain makes ya feel good! And it's pure country, no doubt about that, and so much more! This is Kim's first solo album, and I think it's going to do very well, indeed. She's multi-talented…singing, writing, producing, acting, and…potato farming?? (don't ask)… which can only add to strength as an artist. I think it requires having really LIVED, to know how to entertain with true honesty. Anyone can belt out a song, but if you want to help your audience hear it the way YOU hear it, you have to be sincere. Kim has a way of telling the story, too. She puts the accents in the right places, "crossing all her T's, dotting all her I's". She doesn't leave anything out, doesn't leave you hanging, doesn't leave you disappointed. I haven't seen her on stage, but I've heard it's well worth the price of a ticket. If she performs on a stage the way she does in the studio, she won't have any trouble bringing in big audiences. Who knows, maybe I'll even get the chance to go hear her sometime! I think I'd like that…'cause I sure did like this album!

So, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, T. Jae Christian and Universal Sound Records, have done it again, with two brand new albums that are very 'country music fan' friendly. I'm always honored to have the chance to listen to their favorite artists. They never fail to entertain me, and they make it VERY easy for me to write a review! Thanks, T.J., and thanks to Paul Alan Coons, and Kim Novas, for some great entertainment. I enjoyed every minute of it…and I feel pretty certain that anyone who takes a moment to visit Universal's website at http://www.universal-sound.com will not be sorry.

As always, folks…this has been "
