| Ok, there's a style, sometimes, that just reaches out and grabs me. This album,
by Tresa Street, has just that style. What a vocalist!! I love this record.
I love every song on it, and everything about it! Tresa can belt out a song
like the best of 'em. I haven't heard many artists that can do it any better.
And the band that's backing her up is equally talented. It's always good to
hear a great band on an independent label. That doesn't always happen, unfortunately.
But there's NO doubt that Tresa has the best.
Most of the songs on the album were written by various other songwriters, but with four written by Tresa, herself, she's proved to be a very talented songwriter as well. I especially liked Tresa's "I Can Count On You". And although many of the songs are brand new, Tresa has also included some standards such as ""Love Letters" (Edward Heyman/Victor Young). She knows, quite obviously, how to make any song her own, which she shows us with her interpretation of the beautiful "I Believe I Can Fly" (Robert Kelly). Superbly done! I don't think anyone who loves country, blues, pop, oldies, or any OTHER kind of music, should pass this one up. Because if you love music, ANY music, you'll love Tresa Street. If you visit her website and listen to some clips, I think you'll agree. Tresa Street should be on the radio in every city in America. 'Course, as YOU know, that's a whole OTHER story. So for now, just go take a listen to her work, and then decide for yourself. She definitely deserves a few minutes of your time. I only wish I'd reviewed this one a long time ago. But it's never too late to tell you about an artist who's as good as this one. Now, don't take MY word for it. Visit her website http://www.tresastreet.com. Then let me know if you agree. Ok? I'd appreciate your feedback on this one. And I know Tresa would, too. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is
