What do you say about a legend? How do you "review" an artist with such talent? Why would you even try? Well, each of those questions is a good one. And each has its own answer. For me, saying anything about a legend like Ronnie Milsap is easy! Or maybe I should say, NOT so easy, because it's certainly gonna be tricky to write anything DIFFERENT! Most everything has already been said about Milsap, over the past 3 decades. And certainly, "reviewing" his work, is something I've always wanted to do. But gosh, I don't want to bore you, with the same ol' stuff you've heard sooooooooo many times before. What's to review? And for sure, what's to criticize? And why, you ask, would I even try? Well, at least THAT'S an easy one to answer! Virgin Records has given me the opportunity--that's why!

Yep, they wanted ME to write a review for them…about RONNIE MILSAP! Well, I couldn't say no, could I? In fact, the truth is, I volunteered! I mean, who wouldn't? And boy, am I glad I did! When I received the CD, I practically ripped it open! I couldn't wait to listen to this history-making piece of material. And, folks, SURPRISE…it was NO surprise! Every song on this double CD set is absolutely PERFECT!

Ronnie was joined by a wonderful producer, by the name of Scott Hendricks …remember him? If you know ANYTHING about ANYONE in the music business, then you know about SCOTT. And the result of this great union, was an explosion of the best music I've ever heard! This is a record you'll never tire of listening to. And never get bored, no matter how many times you've heard the songs. All, with the exception of two brand new songs, are hits that Ronnie has had since the 70's. And with each one, we see why we've always loved him!

If you've ever seen Ronnie perform, you will agree with me, that he's one of the best on-stage singers in the world today. He just has a way of making you smile. And with HIS smile, he about knocks you over! Well, that KIND of performance comes through on this album of hits. Beautifully digitally re-mastered, each on is special. I have my own favorites, of course. Like "Inside", What a Difference You've Made in My Life", and "Lets Take The Long Way Around the World". And who could forget "Any Day Now", and "Show Her"?

The new songs are great too. By now, I'm sure you've heard "Time, Love, and Money", sung, as usual, with the energy of a giant. Hmmm…have you heard it on the radio? Good question. You have to search a bit. But, if you've watched the "Opry" lately, you've seen him perform it. My gosh, folks, radio is REALLY missing the boat, when they refuse to play this great legend, DAILY! Will they ever learn?

You know, I think there's just a tiny chance that radio IS learning. The fans are starting to let themselves be heard. And they're screaming for REAL country music! Did you watch the CMA's? Did you see which song won the "Best EVENT" of the year? Does this mean we're starting to be heard by the folks on Music Row? I sure hope so, 'cause there is NO fan alive today, that doesn't WANT to hear Ronnie Milsap again. And with this magnificent opportunity to hear all his hits, lets hope they don't blindly pass it up.
