"RANDY MOORE & THE FABULOUS DELTONES"

Artist: Randy Moore
Record Label: Norca Records

EXCELLENT!! That's the best word I can think of, right now, as I listen to this wonderful CD. Everything about it is totally professional, extremely well performed, and beautifully written.

I have NO complaints. (can you believe that??) WOW Ok, we'll start at the beginning, with a song that I feel could and SHOULD be a chart topper, hands down! "ROPE ME WITH FIRE" (Pat Bunch/R. Moore) This song could easily slide right into the radio charts without missing a beat. That said…given the past history with American radio verses the 'indies'….well, you know as well as I do that it won't be an easy sell. But I'd be willing to bet my last dollar that if this song was released by someone like say, Gary Allen, George Strait, or Tim McGraw, it'd be exactly that. An instant top ten! Probably, in fact, a number ONE! And hey, lets look on the bright side! If you're a songwriter, which Randy IS, who KNOWS what might happen, or who might hear it and run with it!! Personally, though, I love Randy's version, and I'd never hesitate to pay to hear him sing it…anytime!! "LIFE IS GOOD" (R.Moore) again proves his talent as a terrific artist. What a wonderful song! I could replay that one at least a dozen times. Randy seems to have a gift for words, and he knows how to make you understand what he felt when he wrote them. Song after song, this album just keeps goin' and entertaining me, and making me happy I'm lucky enough to have it. Another couple of special favorites…" TOGETHER ALL ALONE" (R.Moore/Greg Jennings) this one is sooooo nice. And how about the beautiful closing track, that brings us to a more spiritual level…"'TIL I BROUGHT JESUS HOME" (D. Moore/ R. Moore) I don't think I've heard one like this in a very long time. And how can I NOT mention "BACK WHEN THE ODDS WERE EVEN " (R. Moore/J.Hunter) This one is a very different, and very IMPORTANT song. Filled with the patriotism of today, and yearning for the patriotism of yesterday. Thanks, Randy, you got to me with this one. I won't forget it, either. Oh yes, I'll be hittin' that replay button on this one, too…LOTS of times! And…"BIG BERTHA " (Carl Perkins/DJ Perkins/R.Moore)…it has that famous 'rockabilly' sound to it. In fact, I even felt good ol' blues that I love so much.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate getting a CD in the mail that SO entertains me. And that so easily takes me with it, away to some other place. And this is NOT background music. BUT…if you want it to be, it CAN be. Like, take ME, for example. I like to paint to good music. But sometimes I don't really listen to it. Know what I mean? I HEAR it, sure. But more importantly, I FEEL it. Which is exactly what I need… to create something from MY insides. If my heart and soul are filled with something so overwhelming as music that touches me deeply, then my paintings can't HELP but be more beautiful.

Not surprisingly, Randy Moore and his Deltones have appeared everywhere, opening for more "big names" than you can count. AND written with the legendary Carl Perkins, too! He's entertained lots of folks through the years, and enjoyed doing it. That comes through in his work. Both in the writing, AND in the performing. You can't listen to music like this, without feeling the pure presence of the artist. He'll hold your hand all the way through every song, if you need him to….or, he'll let you go, so you can just dance your shoes off! Or, you can simply put on the music, and walk with it in everything you do that day. It's amazing work! And it's one of those albums that I'm so very honored to write about.

I still fail to understand how talent like this has been left out of the "star" loop. But hey, maybe that's the way he WANTS it! No compromising, no doin' it the way THEY want you to do it. Complete freedom with your music. There's a lot to be said for that, folks. And if you're REALLY happy with making your music, like Randy so obviously IS, your audience will KNOW it! And appreciate it! You'll NEVER lack for fans, Randy. No one with your talent and obvious commitment, could!! Folks, if you'd like to check out Randy's music, buy this CD, or something else, go on over to his website, and take a look (http//www.cindyandrandymoore.com)…and listen. You'll probably find yourself instantly in love, just as I did. But then…hey…this is only ....
